Mix base
Blend butter, cream cheese and vanilla together well in food processor.

Add sugar
Add confection sugar and blend in the processor.

Add nuts
Remove to bowl and add pecans and/or coconut.

Frost cake
When icing the cake, use a turning wheel. For coconut decoration: Sprinkle coconut on top of cake and then, holding clumps of coconut in one hand, poke it into the sides. Then sprinkle the whole thing with a good snow coating of confection sugar.
