Prepare the Peaches

Preheat oven
Preheat the oven to 350°F.

Prepare baking dish
Grease the inside of a 3.5-quart baking dish and arrange the sliced peaches in the bottom of the dish.

Sugar the peaches
Sprinkle 2 tablespoons of the turbinado sugar evenly over the peaches.
Make the Batter

Cream butter and sugar
In a medium bowl, cream together the butter and sugar.

Add wet ingredients
Add the egg, vanilla extract, and almond extract and beat to mix well.

Add dry ingredients
Add the flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.

Add milk
Add the milk and mix just until the batter comes together.
Bake the Cobbler

Pour batter
Pour batter over the peaches and sprinkle with the remaining 2 tablespoons of turbinado sugar.
