Prepare breading mixture
Mix together the breadcrumbs, flour, paprika, garlic salt, salt and pepper on a plate.

Prepare egg wash
In a bowl, combine the egg and buttermilk and whisk together.

Coat the fish
Dredge the tilapia through the egg then through the breadcrumbs to coat. Spray evenly with cooking oil.

Preheat air fryer
Pre-heat the air fryer to 350°F for 2-3 minutes.

Cook the fish
Cook for 10 minutes on one side, then flip and cook an additional 5 minutes.
Cook's Notes
This recipe works for any type of fish. You can cook from frozen, but it will take an extra 5 minutes (cooking on both sides for 10 minutes each). The biggest challenge with frozen fish is that the breading has a hard time sticking.
