
Air Fryer Onion Rings
Crispy air-fried onion rings with a flavorful panko coating. Healthier than deep-fried, with a perfectly crunchy exterior and tender sweet onion inside.

Instructions
Prepare Breading Stations

Mix flour bowl
In bowl 1, mix together 1/2 cup all-purpose flour, 1 teaspoon paprika, 1 teaspoon salt, and your choice of powdered spices (onion, garlic, chili).

Mix egg bowl
In bowl 2, beat together 2 eggs and 2/3 cup buttermilk until combined.

Mix panko bowl
In bowl 3, mix 2 cups panko breadcrumbs with 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil, stirring to let oil dampen the crumbs.
Bread the Onion Rings

Dredge rings
Dredge onion rings in the following order: flour (bowl 1), egg mixture (bowl 2), flour again (bowl 1), egg mixture again (bowl 2), then panko crumbs (bowl 3), pressing panko crumbs firmly onto onion surface.
Air Fry

Prepare basket
Spray or oil the air fryer basket surfaces with cooking spray.

Load rings
Place breaded onion rings in air fryer basket and spritz with cooking spray.

Air fry
Air fry at 350°F for approximately 12 minutes, flipping the rings over after the first 6 minutes and re-spritzing them with cooking spray.
