
Air Fryer Crispy Potatoes

Prepare potatoes
Wash and cube the potatoes into 1 inch pieces. You can peel them, but the more rustic result is with the peels on.

Rinse and dry
Rinse the cubed potatoes to remove excess starch. Pat dry thoroughly with a paper towel.

Season potatoes (spray method)
If using cooking spray: Put the cubed potatoes in the air fryer basket. Spray lightly with cooking oil. Shake the basket and spray again. Season with salt.

Season potatoes (oil method)
If using EVOO: Put the chopped potatoes into a large bowl and drizzle the oil over them, tossing the pieces until fully covered. Add your choice of seasoning, whether herbs, spice, or simple salt and pepper.

Air fry
Cook the potatoes at 400°F for approximately 20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through.

Check doneness
They're done when they're crispy and browned on the outside.
Cook's Notes
For extra crispy results, soak cubed potatoes in cold water for 30 minutes before cooking to reduce starch. Drain and dry completely before proceeding. Less starch means an even crispier finish.
