Instructions
Brine the Pork Chops

Prepare brine
Add the pork chops to an airtight container.

Brine
Pour the apple cider and water over the top. Add in the salt and allow to brine for 4-6 hours.
Season and Cook

Preheat air fryer
Preheat air fryer for 5 minutes.

Dry pork chops
Drain the brine from the pork chops and pat them dry with paper towels.

Season
Rub the olive oil over all sides of the pork chops, then sprinkle the garlic salt, smoked paprika, onion powder and ground black pepper on both sides.

Place in air fryer
Place both pork chops in the basket of your air fryer.

Air fry
Air fry at 400°F for 13-15 minutes, or until they reach an internal temperature of at least 145°F when checked with a meat thermometer. Allow to rest for a few minutes before cutting into.

Allow to rest for a few minutes before cutting into. Note: Oct. 16, 2023, article in The Kitchn studied each way to prepare pork chops and found that pan-frying was clearly the best way to get tasty, tender pork chops. All other methods had drawbacks.
