
Air Fryer Barbecue Chicken Wings
Crispy air fryer chicken wings with a flavorful dry rub and tangy barbecue glaze. Marinate overnight for maximum flavor, then air fry to perfection in under 20 minutes.

Dry the wings
Pat the separated chicken wings dry with a paper towel and add them into a bowl or marinating bag.

Season wings
Add all of the ingredients except for the barbecue sauce and mix the seasoning into the chicken wings.

Marinate
Put the chicken in the refrigerator to marinate for at least one hour, or overnight for best results.

Preheat air fryer
When you're ready to make the wings, remove them from the fridge and preheat the air fryer to 400°F.

Arrange wings
Place the chicken wings in the air fryer basket being sure to leave a little space in between each one for air flow.

Air fry wings
Air fry the wings for 16 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through.

Add BBQ sauce
Brush wings with BBQ sauce and air fry them for an additional 2-4 minutes.
Cook's Notes
For best results, marinate overnight to allow the dry rub to penetrate the meat. The baking powder helps create extra crispy skin in the air fryer.
